Statement of Beliefs

WE  BELIEVE  the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and the only authoritative word of God; and is to be the rule of faith and life for all humanity.  We believe the Bible is the record that God has given of Himself; and contains the only record of eternal salvation to lost mankind.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that there is only one living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure Spirit, invisible, immutable, immerse, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most holy working all things according to the counsel of His own immutable and most righteous will for His own glory, most loving, gracious, merciful, longsuffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin, the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, and most just and terrible in His judgments, hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.  (God is Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient).

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the deity of our Lord Jesus, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death.  His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that God created an innumerable host of angels, some of whom followed the lead of Lucifer, now called Satan, in rebelling against God, thereby, bringing sin into the universe.  We believe in Satan’s complete defeat by the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby, incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and everyone who will repent of their sins will be forgiven and receive life through Christ.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man.  We believe that He died for the sins of man as representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that His death was a sufficient expiation for the guilt of all men.  We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

WE  BELIEVE  that men are justified by grace through faith, on the grounds of the shed blood of Christ, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby, become children of God.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that in the redemptive plan of God, He provided not only means of being cleansed form sin, but He also included provision for divine healing of our physical bodies – “With His stripes we are healed ….Isaiah 53:6

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are given for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the Church, which is the Body of Christ, and in His sanctifying power in the lives of obedient believers.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that the Holy Spirit of God is the supreme administrator of the Church, directing the Church in all things, and bringing to memory all that was spoken by our Lord, His holy apostles, and prophets.

 

WE  BELIEVE  that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit was given on the Day of Pentecost, with the evidence of speaking with other tongues, as the Spirit of God gives utterance.

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, and that it should be carried out often, until the Lord returns.

 

WE  BELIEVE  Water Baptism to be an act of obedience to the commands of Jesus.  We further believe that Water Baptism has no saving power in itself; but in obedience of the command of Jesus, we show an outward work of the redemptive work done on the inside by accepting His shed blood as the remission of sin.  Water Baptism shows our death, burial, and resurrection with Christ, to walk in newness of life with Him.  We believe in Water Baptism by immersion only to be proper.

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the personal and invisible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to be in two phases.  First, His coming in the clouds of heaven to receive the Saints, including those bodies now in the grave, and second, His return to earth to rule one thousand years over the nations with power.

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the possibility of falling from grace.  We are kept saved by the power of God as long as we continue in His Word.

 

WE  BELIEVE  in the bodily resurrection of the just, the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.

 

Mission Statement

DEBI’s mission is to promote education within the Body of Christ and the community.  Our goal is to help mankind improve their relationship with God, to enhance the quality of life for all people, to revive one’s dream to get a high school diploma, and college education.

• For promulgation of the gospel of Jesus Christ (Luke 24:47)
• For the perfecting of the believers to serve in the ministry leadership (Ephesians 4:12-13)
• For the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8)
• For diligent Bible study (II Timothy 2:15)

Administration

A Bible Institute is a non-degree granting school of adult education, primarily for laypeople, designed to provide formal training and equipping in Biblical Studies, Ministry Skills and Leadership Skill in order that they may do the work of the ministry.
